Matty (@plantaddy) is the founder and curator of Verdant Vinery, a community dedicated to connecting plant lovers everywhere. What began as a personal journey into plant care and collecting evolved into a passion for rare tropical plants, botanical education, and fostering meaningful connections within the global plant community. 

Through years of collecting, growing, and learning, Plantaddy has developed a deep appreciation for the beauty, diversity, and stories behind every plant. Living with Centralized Sensitivity Syndrome (CSS) associated with Pernicious Anemia, plants became more than a hobby—they became a source of healing, creativity, and purpose. That experience inspired the creation of Verdant Vinery, a space where growers, collectors, and enthusiasts can come together to share knowledge, showcase their collections, and celebrate a shared passion for plants. 

Today, Plantaddy continues to cultivate a diverse collection of tropical plants while championing community, education, and accessibility within the plant world.
